Internships

Drake University magazine majors can take advantage of a number of local and national internship opportunities throughout the year. We post a few outside the E.T. Meredith Center for Magazine Studies in Room 111 of Meredith Hall.Be sure to let your academic adviser know your wishes.

One of the best strategies for finding a job is to connect with other Drake students who are already working. Also, the school of journalism internship coordinator, Carlyn Crowe (carlyn.crowe@drake.edu), can be a big help.

Like a good reporter, use all your resources and ask questions. Here are a few websites and annual internships to get you started.
